Innovation & technology
Today, new technologies enable oil and gas companies to develop hard-to-recover oil reserves, expand exploration and production in new regions, and enhance operational efficiency. These advancements also help maintain stability while providing access to resources in exchange for technological expertise.
We are committed to ensuring that the company remains a leader in oil recovery from mature fields, the development of hard-to-recover and unconventional reserves, as well as the advancement and production of oil refining catalysts.
Innovative technologies in the oil and gas industry are crucial for achieving strategic objectives and enhancing technological outcomes in the field of unconventional hydrocarbon production.
Implementation
During the first stage of implementing the innovation development program, significant successes have been achieved in both the development of production technologies and in improving management efficiency:
- Development of a Drilling Support Center
- Transition of the company refinery and chemical plant to the production of higher-grade and environmentally friendly fuel classes
- Transition to the refinery’s own catalytic catalyst cracking
- Development and introduction of software to enhance exploration and production efficiency
- Creation of units responsible for managing technological development
Technological Challenges and Priorities in Oil Refining
CAMACOIL LLC achieved its strategic goal to increase oil refining to 4.6 million tons per year. Current strategic priorities include:
- Increasing the depth of oil refining and the yield of light petroleum products
- Operational Efficiency: Improving energy efficiency, availability, and reducing losses
- Achieving in-depth light product exploration through the implementation of modernization programs, and R&D in oil refining, including project development for innovative solutions aimed at increasing refining margins and improving product lines.
Technology Priorities
Technological Challenges:
- Increase production effectiveness
- Decline in oil quality for refining
- Production line improvement
- Higher market requirements for performance motor oils
- Increased demand for road bitumen, polymer-bitumen binders, arctic diesel, unleaded aviation gasoline, and needle coke
- Deep processing challenges
- Need for cost-effective heavy oil refining balances
Innovative Project: Development of Advanced Technologies for Unconventional Oil Reserves
Project Overview:
The project aims to create a suite of domestic technologies and high-tech equipment for the exploration of over 146 million tons of recoverable hydrocarbon reserves in Texas and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area over the next 10 years.
Expected Effects:
The introduction of advanced technologies will help solve one of the most pressing problems facing the USA’s oil and gas industry: expanding the resource base by tapping into non-traditional reserves. This issue becomes even more critical as deposits in Western Texas are depleted.
Development and Implementation of Catalytic Cracking Catalysts and Hydrogenation Processes
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE
2016 - 2022
The objective of the project is to establish a state-of-the-art facility for the production of catalytic cracking catalysts, hydrotreating, and hydrocracking processes. This initiative aims to decrease the reliance of domestic refineries on imported catalysts.
